We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to preserving and promoting Texas Conjunto music, an accordion-driven roots music genre born in south Texas.
Rancho Alegre’s mission is to preserve and promote Conjunto music, an accordion-driven music genre born in south Texas. Conjunto has been popular among Mexican-Americans for generations and is the cultural root of modern Tejano music. Conjunto also belongs in the same roots category as genres like Bluegrass, Blues, Traditional Country, and Zydeco.

– Public events throughout the year: Conjunto dance series for Seniors, events for Veterans
– Rancho Alegre Conjunto Music Festival (RACMF): the largest Conjunto music festival north of San Antonio, one of Austin’s only purely Latino music festivals, and one of its only multi-day Latino culture events. Rancho Alegre is also the only Conjunto music nonprofit organization north of San Antonio.
